“We contracted Cooke Roofing to install our new CF slate metrotile roof a few years ago. The troubles started straight after paying the 50% deposit, the installation took 7 weeks when we were told it would take 1 week. The installation time was inconvenient but I do understand that delay happen. The biggest issue was the installation itself, for some reason Cooke Roofing decided to substitute the galvanised fixings with screws designed for internal use this left us with a roof that would not pass council compliance. ( a large number of major issues were also discovered when the roof was redone) Long story short lawyers got involved and Cooke still refused to admit fault and wouldn’t reply to council emails, the roof had to be redone by another company. Metrotile did their best to support Cooke Roofing and ignore the installation faults, this was disappointing as you would think that they would require a good job when they give a 50 year weather tight guarantee on their product. Cooke Roofing is a nightmare to deal with and to be honest 1 star is too good for them.”
