Graeme Lowe Painting & Decorating

“Please beware: Graeme is dishonest, unprofessional and provides low quality work. I want to save any future customers of his from losing money for a job that will take much longer than promised and be of the poorest quality. I have attached many photos to show what Graeme calls finished work and demanded further payments for. I got Graeme to quote me for the interior and exterior painting of my property in Jan' 25. He gave me a potential start date of between mid March and mid April 25. He said the work would be completed well within the target date of mid May where the property would need to be rented out. After not showing up to start work until 30th of April, he then started on my job where he would turn up at 9:30AM, go to lunch at 11:30 AM and not come back till 1:30PM and would call it a day at 3:30PM. He had promised good prep and did the least amount of prep or sanding and decided to not remove any wallpaper that would be arduous. He would only inform me of this after paining over the wallpaper. He would then just not show up on days with either no excuse of phone call or say he is sick. He would blame myself of his other customers who he thought were all unreasonable when I would tell him that for every day he does not show up or put in a complete days work I was loosing out rental income. He would do 10% of the job and ask for "progress payements" out of nowhere, I did pay him a 35% deposit of $4200 plus $880 for paint already, I did then pay him another $1350 as a "progress payment" which I now regret. After Graeme spending 3 weeks only on the interior of my 3 bedroom / 1 bathroom property which was not yet complete he again asked for another progress payment. This is when I had to tell him I can no longer pay any more until he completes at least the interior work. He then threatened that no more work would be done until he received more money. By this stage I had already paid him $6,430 and all I had to show for my money was an incomplete interior paint job and nothing on the exterior of the house (photos of his workmanship attached). I then advised Graeme i no longer want to go further with his services and he should return the paint that I have paid for. Graeme never returned my paint and would no longer pick up my calls. Please stay away from this business.”
