“In spite of all the Hastings District Council building consent push back, talk of hazards and disaster, and obstruction for a whole year, the draughtsman was able to obtain a consent. Once the consents [two resource consents and building consent] were granted, the builder, Dax, was expert in dealing with the specific demands of the job. It was a 34m2 cantilevered deck with steps down from a second level to a garden. The communication from Dax was very good and he accommodated every wish including my wanting to finish the work on the balustrade, lay the kwila decking and oil the timber. The workmanship was excellent and the code compliance certificate was subsequently issued without any hesitation. I would certainly engage Dax again for a job.”
