“Beautiful spot and surroundings, it is impressive to contemplate the nature’s underground wonders coming up to the surface and creating these colorful sulphuric fountains. Majestic!!! 🤩”

“Rotorua’s free natural sauna.. This place is so hot even my camera started sweating... Fences everywhere to stop you from cooking yourself like instant noodles but got some pools outside the fence if you wanna test your pain tolerance... Worth a stop, solid for pictures, heaps of parking… But toilets? I think they evaporated... “Logan was here... Survived Kuirau… barely.””

“This whole area has an incredible number of fenced off geothermal vents and pulls, but this is a big heap of rocks with steam coming out of the top... a little bit different”
— Jan Smith
“Beautiful place steaming water with facilities to go around, it's tourist attraction, reminding human life, boil inside keep cool outside.”

“Another geothermal hotspot in Kuirau Park, this one has had some landscaping around it. One of the vents has been built up with rocks & cement to resemble a volcano with steam hissing out it and sulphur deposits for authenticity. There's also boiling hot pools, bubbling mud pools and a statue/artwork of some kind. Being part of the park these features are all free. While they may not be as unique as those you can see at some of the (expensive) geothermal parks/experiences around Rotorua they won't put a dent in your wallet if you're on a budget.”
