“Plants: 5/5 stars. Service: 0/5 stars. The quality of your plants is excellent, but the customer service I received was appalling. The issue concerns a staff member named Lachie. As a superannuant, I was purchasing a large item: a wet, dirty 25-liter bag containing a 1.4m plant (approximately 1.8m total height). Twice, I suggested getting a cart for transport, but Lachie ignored me completely. He then dismissively stated the item "wasn't heavy" before walking off and leaving me to struggle and carry the heavy item 100 meters to my car alone. His behaviour was arrogant, entitled, condescending, and lazy, especially given the clear need for assistance. Furthermore, this incident represents a significant health and safety risk to your customers. Forcing patrons to manually lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg when wet) exposes the business to serious liability should an injury occur on your premises. I strongly suggest management either move this employee away from public-facing roles or ensure he receives immediate, thorough training in customer service, accessibility, and safe manual handling procedures.”
