“We had an all round bad experience with Masters. From the start their communication was poor but we persisted as we know plumbers are busy, but now we wish we had taken that as a bad sign and tried someone else. They did not contact us about a date and time to do the job and just showed up. As my partner was home that day purely by chance we were able to give them access, but the lack of communication meant we had not been able to prepare the area so everything in our kitchen was in the line of the concrete dust. Also if they had called to arrange a date and time I would have been able to clarify that we could remove a kitchen cabinet for access ourselves and we would have avoided the absolute mess that followed. They made a mistake, damaging vinyl that wasn't even in line with the leaking pipe, which has cost us over $600 to repair and they still won't even admit that what they did was wrong. They even tried to shift blame essentially saying it's our fault for agreeing to the job (yeah, we agreed the flooring could be damaged if necessary, not to a bizarre choice to dig a hole that bears no relation to the leak). We understand people make mistakes, but we don't understand people who are supposed to be professionals lacking the integrity to admit they made a mistake. To correct their mistake my dad did the prep work which we originally wanted to do, by removing a cabinet. It was really stressful dealing with all of this and I hate to think how much worse it would have been for someone without a handy person like my dad that could help fix the problem.”
