“We had a great experience using Roofbuddy. Finn Delaney from Roofbuddy made the whole process very simple, clear and easy to follow. As most of us do not undertake re-roofing very often, we found his advice and expertise invaluable. We had 5 different quotes within a couple of days and were delighted at the job completed by Jason and his team from Solution Roofing. They were tidy and very professional and kept us well informed throughout the process. The roof looks great and we believe it was very good value for money. We would recommend both Roofbuddy and Solution Roofing.”

“It would have been a daunting challenge having to contact individual roofing companies for roof replacement quotes etc. Roofbuddy made the process a breeze. Nathan was the gentleman who looked after me. He was friendly, polite, professional and knowledgeable. He always responded as soon as he could and was very helpful whenever I contacted him for anything. I’m happy with the service and results and highly recommend Nathan and Roofbuddy.”

“Roofbuddy was very proactive up to the point of contract confirmation - calling every couple of days talking up their service. Then they introduce you to the contractor and it feels like they disappear. I am not confident in their satellite accurately without visiting - though i accept it provides a good overview my work was quoted a couple of years apart. First estimate was 25 degree pitch - second was 20 degree pitch - floor area difference was 5%. Actual pitch i am told was 10 degrees. I was the one to meet the contractor onsite for a accurate measure up after the quote was accepted. How much did this inaccuracy inflate the quotes 5-10%? The contractor did turn up as scheduled and completed 95% well. The rest has not been remediated for over 4 months and i am in the dark as the action Roofbuddy are taking to fix this. I live in Auckland and the rental is in Hamilton - so i thought it would be managed for me. However i now find myself chasing the contractor and Roofbuddy to chase the contractor. I don't think Roofbuddy ever went before, during or after the job - the final report i understand was a contractor reviewing the work (i am actually OK with that but it should be clear). My guess is that Roofbuddy are accepting more work than their systems and staff can handle. The contractor called me when they got to 95%. For days Roofbuddy didn't call back and i felt bad they had to fund the materials - so i paid most of the balance - rookie error on my part caused by a lack of support from Roofbuddy. - i do have 10% retention but clearly not enough to motivate either the contractor or Roofbuddy. Roofbuddy say they will share a report on completion of the job - it has taken months to get that and it turns out they will only share after the company remediates all the issues - i expressed my concern at this as issue may remain and/or turn up again in the future - to their credit Roofbuddy have now shared the unedited version. really appreciate this as they say they work for the client. There are some benefits to using their services such as: 1. getting multiple quotes in quickly (though some clearly try it on with pricing as they would directly), also 2. their payment/work guarantee - though several reports have since hit the media for not supporting other clients. 3. the review of the contractor work - though you could organise an independent review. Negatives: 1. Roofbuddy seem to lose their customer focus after securing the job 2. In my opinion Roofbuddy dont "manage" the job - no indication they reviewed until complete - then i think it was a second contractor. 3. using this service wont stop you needing to manage the contractor and Roofbuddy as well. 4. Next time i would expect contractors to attend the site to measure up accurately before quoting. 5. Roofbuddy do not openly share the review of the work - rather try to work with the contractor to hide/remedy defects and have you believe the job was of a higher standard. I accept some work was really well done but some of the flashing looks very poorly made and slapped on, the water overflow has been insecure int he wind for 4 months and i had a minor leak do the delays. The excuse this week was the recent rain - I don't buy into that - the project was 98% completed by mid Feb - Still waiting in June !!!! Big rant but i tried to be objective despite my frustration continuing.”

“The Roofbuddy process meant we were connected with a extremely competent team of roofers. We would not have found them without Roofbuddy. Kyron from Roofbuddy was helpful in answering all our questions about the process. Thanks Kyron and Roofbuddy for providing a service where your vetting of roofers ensures connections are made with highly professional roofers.”

“I don’t leave reviews often, who has the time right? But on this occasion, I am compelled to. This evening, AFTER normal work hours, I received a phone call from Parvash who works for Roofbuddy. Parvash explained exactly what I needed to fix my job request (that I’d only just posted the night before), and that would be to contact a local builder, not a Roofbuddy affiliate, to fix my dilapidated chimney flashing. Isn’t that incredible? Nothing in it for him or his company, just good old fashioned, honest, best advice, human to human. I can therefore highly recommend Roofbuddy with my experience being testament to this business being absolutely customer first, genuine and honest. Parvash, you’re a bloody legend.”
