Mazzola Tiling - Floor and Wall (Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand)

“"Marvellous Mazzola" Luiz of Mazzola Tiling did a marvellous job tiling our renovated ensuite and main bathroom. His attention to detail was incredible; he consulted and informed; checked in and talked through the plan for the day, and checked out on departure with an update. Luiz was always very professional, polite and friendly in his manner, along with being positive and enthusiastic about his job. The tiles I'd selected for walls and floor were different sizes and he lined then up well, considering every aspect. The wall tiles came in sets of 4 and he planned out his placement of them to ensure they worked well in the space. He consulted with us both throughout the process, often offering us two options or offering a suggested plan and the reasons why, and also confirming decisions before commencing. Although not standard practice I wanted the smaller tiles behind/around both bathroom mirrors to extend to the ceiling to provide continuity and impact. Luiz consulted and confirmed the tile placement and direction for the tiles and got stuck into the job. With using one grout colour, mid grey, Luiz tackled the grouting and was thorough. With the side walls of the ensuite shower being patterned, and the mirror tiles needing precision too, he did a marvellous job. We were comfortable being in the house while he worked and also leaving him to do the tiling while we weren't at home, having full confidence in him and his tiling ability and decision-making. We are both very appreciative of both Luiz as a person and the tiling job he has performed for us. He liaised well with the tiling company, the builder who lead the project for us, and other communicated well with other tradespeople we had on our renovation project. We highly recommend him as a tiler and wish him all the best for his future, both personally and as a tiler.”
