“A big thank-you to TGC Homes for supporting the Year 10 Otago Boys’ High School Colts cricket team with our fundraising. The boys are heading to Hamilton in December for the prestigious Vettori Shield, and the paver fundraiser made a huge difference. TGC Homes recently purchased the former Andersons Bay Bowling Club site — as the club has moved to a brand-new facility at Chisholm Park Recreation Reserve. This $1.9 million development includes 12 artificial turf rinks, giving bowlers the chance to play year-round! As part of this new development, TGC Homes kindly offered the old bowling green pavers for the team to sell - with ALL proceeds going to the boys. The support from families and locals across Dunedin and beyond was incredible — the pavers found new homes, were saved from landfill, and helped fund an unforgettable sporting opportunity. A special thank-you to Charles, one of the TGC Directors, who even gave up his personal time to help load pavers with the telehandler. Your generosity and hands-on support truly made a difference.”

The boys are heading to Hamilton in December to play in the prestigious Vettori Shield — one of only seven schools in New Zealand invited to compete. TGC Homes recently purchased a former bowling club, and kindly offered the pavers around the old green for the team to sell. Parents andplayers took on the hard work — lifting, stacking, advertising, coordinating, and meeting the paver buyers — with all proceeds going towards the trip costs. The response was incredible, with buyers from across Dunedin, Waikouaiti, and Ranfurly using the pavers for garden paths, glasshouses, pool areas, and landscaping projects. Not only did this fundraiser give the pavers a second life and save them from landfill, but it also raised essential funds for the team. A huge thank-you to TGC Homes and to Charles, one of the Directors, who rolled up his sleeves and helped operate the telehandler to load large quantities onto trailers and utes. Your generosity and hands-on support made a real difference — community spirit at its best.”
